Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal for our products is divided into three categories. Depending upon the category, different regulations regarding the right of withdrawal apply. Please verify in which category your product falls, to see whether the right of withdrawal can be exercised.

The distinct categories are as following:

  1. Physical products
  2. Physical vignettes a.k.a. toll stickers
  3. Digital vignettes

1. Physical Products

For home delivery products, a cooling-off period of 14 days, starting on the day after the goods have been received by the consumer, is taken into account. During this cooling-off period, the consumer has the right to exercise his/her right of withdrawal. This means that within this period the consumer can, without any obligations on his/her side, return the delivered goods and receive a refund. For this purpose, the consumer has to return the product(s), provided by some further details regarding his/her order (e.g. full name, telephone number and order number) to the following address:

NJ Travel B.V. - 3rd floor
Piet Heinstraat 7
7204 JN, Zutphen
The Netherlands

After withdrawal of the contract (i.e. the moment of canceling and returning the ordered products), a refund will be given to the customer within approximately 14 days. Refunds include delivery costs, but do not cover the costs of the return of the goods. Hence, the consumer pays for the return shipping costs. Reimbursement will be taken care of within two till seven business days. Exceptions are made for authorising payments due to the reversal period of eight till 14 business days. The amount paid will be refunded within 14 days after cancelling the contract.

During this period, the consumer will take care of the product and its packaging. The consumer will only unpack or use the product in order to determine whether he/she would like to keep the product. In case the consumer wants to express his/her right of withdrawal, he/she will return the product – including all additional accessories - if possible – in the original packaging to the vendor in accordance with its provided instructions.

2. Toll Stickers

Toll stickers which are custom-made, i.e. the number plate is printed on the toll sticker or the toll sticker is printed for a specific date, cannot be withdrawn by the consumer. Consequently, the right of withdrawal expires as soon as the product has been delivered.

This rule of thumb applies to all physical vignettes except for toll stickers for Switzerland. As long as the this toll sticker is not affixed to the windscreen, this vignette can be revoked within 14 days upon receiving the vignette in accordance with the regulations regarding physical products (see above). As soon as the toll sticker is, however, stuck to the windscreen, the right of withdrawal expires.

3. Digital Vignettes

For digital vignettes, a 14 day withdrawal period exists.

Instructions for Right of Withdrawal

The consumer has the right to withdraw his/her order (without providing any justification) within a period of 14 days upon receiving the ordered service/good. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer has to unequivocally inform the vendor (e.g. written via post or e-mail) of his/her decision to withdraw the order. The attached form of withdrawal can be used, but this is not obligatory. One can also provide a clear written declaration concerning one’s wish to withdraw the order and send it by post or email.

In a nutshell, if a consumer wishes to express his/her right of withdrawal, the consumer is obligated to inform the vendor about this decision within the 14-days cooling-off period. In response, the vendor will aim to send the consumer without any delay a confirmation of receiving this request via a sustainable data carrier, i.e. email.

Effects of the Right Withdrawal

Upon withdrawing the order, all payments made the consumer to that time, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of any additional costs resulting from the consumers’ preference for a particular type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by the vendor) will be reimbursed without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which the consumer informed the vendor about his/her decision to withdraw. Reimbursement will be executed by means of the same payment method that has been used to perform the transaction in the first place.

The vendor is allowed to await reimbursement until the goods haven been sent back, or until the consumer has provided proof that the goods have been returned in line with NL L 304/84 Publicatieblad van de Europese Unie 22.11.2011 legislation.

Consumers are obligated to return the purchased goods within 14 days after expressing the wish to withdraw the agreement and informing the vendor about this decision. The return shipping costs are, however, carried by the consumer. Furthermore, the consumer is only legally liable for depreciation of the goods if this is the result of using the goods (and if this goes further than testing whether the products work accordingly).
